 lmmaker\, and graphic designer whose work helped define the look of Hollyw
 ood and of rock-and-roll. Starting as a studio photographer in the 1950s\,
  he created striking portraits of stars like Marlene Dietrich\, Judy Garla
 nd\, and Steve McQueen.\n\nIn the 1960s and ’70s\, Feinstein became one 
 of music’s most celebrated photographers\, shooting more than 500 album 
 covers—including Bob Dylan’sThe Times They Are a-Changin’\, Janis Jo
 plin’sPearl\, and George Harrison’sAll Things Must Pass.His images of 
 Dylan’s 1966 UK tour\, later featured inReal Momentsand Martin Scorsese
 ’sNo Direction Home\, remain among the most intimate and iconic in music
